Värmland is The Province of a Thousand Lakes, Rivers and Streams, and our fishing waters are famous amongst sport fishers throughout the world.
Salmon, game fish, trout, bass, grayling and northern pike are some of the most common fishes in our waters. There’s not many places in Värmland where fishing is prohibited, and through our local tourism offices or sport fishing centres you’ll find fishing permits for the most sought after fishing waters in Värmland.
The Giants are nature spirits, standing twice as tall as full grown men and possessing super human strength. Said to eat humans, you’d better run if you find yourself standing eye to eye with a Giant astray from his darker world. Not that it will do you much good.
